Kibugat Community Projects

Kibugat community is located on the Maasai Mara route, in the Rift Valley Province, surrounded by tea plantations. Several community projects are currently aimed at improving local educational facilities and corresponding infrastructure.

Kenya Aid Programme became linked with the Kibugat Community Projects in 2009 via collaboration with a further charity, IT Skills for Rural Kenya , and also the Bureti District Department of Gender and Social Service.

A team from the Programme visited Kibugat in October 2009 and were given a tour of several of the communities projects including Kibugat Girls Secondary School, Kibugat Information and Communication Technology Centre, Kapkoe Footbridge, Kibugat Water Project, Kibaraa Primary School, and Kibugat Primary School.

In June 2010, with assistance from the community, we were able to coordinate a shipment of schools uniforms and classroom furniture to the Kibugat Community Projects.
